Rare Chinese famille rose plate, early Qianlong (1736-95), decorated with a couple seated on a terrace, the man playing an oboe, the lady feeding a parrot sitting on a perch between them, all within an elaborate cartouche, the border with four rococo vignettes containing landscapes against a floral bianco-sopra-bianco ground, ;

slight rubbing to enamels of parrot.
