Chinese blue and white moulded punch bowl, Kangxi (1662-1722), with foliate rim and petal-shaped moulding, decorated with ogee-shaped panels containing birds and butterflies amongst flowering branches, the interior with a central roundel containing birds nesting among branches of blossoming peony issuing from rockwork, bordered by branches of prunus and peony issuing from rockwork, the inner rim with six floral-cartouches against a trellis ground, diameter: 13 1/4in., 33.6cm; condition: fritting to edges.
