Chinese lacquer work box, 19th century, with metal handles, decorated with stylized scrolling foliage against a liewen enclosed by bands of Greek-fret motifs, the cover with the initials A.M.B. within a band of Greek-fret decoration, the underside of the cover decorated with an oriental riverscape scene with mountains, pagodas, rockwork and tress, with various trays and compartments inside, with a drawer revealing another panel decorated with an oriental riverscape scene.
