Chinese blue and white jar and cover, Kangxi (1662-1722), decorated with ogee-shaped panels containing branches of flowering peony, chrysanthemum and cherry blossom issuing from rockwork and landscapes, the neck with peony flowers against a scrolling foliage ground, the cover with foliate rim, decorated with similar ogee-shaped panels above stylized flowerheads around the rim, height: 16in., 40.6cm; condition: firing crack to rim of jar, fritting to rim of cover.
