Chinese famille verte rouleau vase, Kangxi (1662-1722), decorated with twelve rectangular panels reserved in three rows on a green 'frog's-spawn' ground with lotus, phoenix and dragons, the panels contain a kylin, deer and mythical beast, riverscapes with sampan boatman and a scholar, birds amongst branches of flowering prunus, and chrysanthemum and peony issuing from rockwork, the shoulder with a band of cartouches containing auspicious symbols, the neck with two flower-panels divided by incense burners, height: 19 1/8in., 48.5cm.
