Chinese blue and white medallion dish, Kangxi (1662-1722), the central boss decorated with four figures kneeling before a seated scholar at a table, the border with four figurative scenes divided by rockwork and trees, the reverse with dense scrolling foliage, diameter: 14 3/8in., 36.5cm; condition: restored chips to rim, small glaze faults. Provenance: From a Private Dutch Collection, sold at Sotheby's Amsterdam, 14 May 1997, lot 132.
